Copenhagen Harbour – Hand-tufted designer rug

Bring the maritime tranquility of Copenhagen and one of its most famous landmarks into your home as a stylish design object. This luxurious, hand-tufted rug made from high-quality New Zealand wool interprets the famous Little Mermaid in a minimalist, modern visual language. The dense, pleasantly soft pile and harmonious color palette make it a distinctive eye-catcher for living rooms, bedrooms, offices, or prestigious reception areas.

At its center, the stylized mermaid sits on a light rock, surrounded by concentric water lines and generous areas in various shades of blue and gray. A small sailboat in the upper section complements the maritime scene and enhances the peaceful expanse of the harbor. Muted fjord blue, slate blue, ice blue, sage green, stone beige, cream, and anthracite give the rug an elegant, Nordic atmosphere. The precise hand-tufting emphasizes contours and surfaces, creating a decorative, slightly sculptural surface.

Design Inspiration Copenhagen Little Mermaid:

The design is inspired by Copenhagen's harbor landscape and the iconic sculpture of the Little Mermaid. The figure is deliberately simplified and embedded in a calm, graphic composition that abstracts water, wind, and vastness. Flowing wave rings, cool graded blue tones, and the minimalist silhouette of the sailboat combine the maritime motif with Scandinavian minimalism and contemporary interior design. This creates a poetic urban portrait between landmark, coastal atmosphere, and modern textile design.

Care Instructions:

Vacuum regularly with a clean suction setting and without a rotating brush. Blot spilled liquids immediately with a clean, absorbent cloth; do not rub. Spot treat stains with a mild cleaning agent suitable for wool rugs. Professional rug cleaning is recommended for thorough cleaning. A rug pad is recommended to reduce slipping and extend the life of the rug.

Important Note on Colors:

Due to different screen settings, color calibrations, and lighting conditions, the actual colors may vary slightly from how they appear on screen. As wool is a natural material and each rug is handmade, slight differences in pile, structure, and color effect are natural characteristics and emphasize the individual character of each piece.
