Its free-form, asymmetrical silhouette surrounds layered shades of taupe, stone grey and silver grey. Lighter, ribbed sections in creamy white cross the design like mineral deposits or the delicate structure of a fossilised shell. The result is a sculptural interplay of movement, stillness and depth.

With its organic outline, this hand-tufted rug is ideal for rooms where straight furniture lines meet softer, natural forms. Set it beside a sofa, beneath a reading chair or in a generous bedroom to create a distinctive focal point without introducing bold colour. Its irregular shape and understated palette make Fossil Current a compelling choice for modern, Japandi-inspired and art-led interiors. New Zealand wool and viscose · 9–11 mm.

Features

Hand-tufted designer rug with a soft, asymmetrical free-form outline

New Zealand wool and viscose; pile height 9–11 mm

Cream, warm taupe, stone grey and silver grey

Layered shapes and pale linear accents inspired by fossils and mineral strata

Ideal for organic modern, Japandi and soft minimalist interiors

Perfect for

Living rooms with neutral sofas and natural materials

Reading corners with a sculptural lounge chair

Bedrooms in a calm, understated palette

Open spaces needing a distinctive, sculptural floor accent

Design inspiration

Inspired by fossils, sedimentary layers and the flowing inner markings of a seashell.
